When i think about salad, i always think about my all time favorite salad; Steak Salad! Its healthy (with a healthy choice of steak, ofcourse!) and most important super yummy!!! Steak salad is another great way to enjoy your steak. The secret to my uber yummy steak salad? Grilled sweet bell peppers and red onions. I promise this will be the secret ingredients you don’t wanna miss on your steak salad.
What you’ll need:
Any steak you prefer (I prefer Ribeye)
Salad Mix (Herb Mix)
Seasalt and Black Peppercorn
Grilling your steak, sweet bellpeppers and red onion
Season your steak with blackpepper corn and seasalt both sides. Meanwhile, get your grill /smoker ready. Gather charcoal into the center portion of the grill (Tip: Use hardwood mesquite charcoal, benefits of this charcoal is it doesn’t have the strong smell of a regular charcoal, also, it heats up hotter to get a good sear on the steak). Light with starter fluid and let coal burn for 20-30 mins. Start grilling your sweet bellpeppers and red onions until slightly chard and golden. Immediately thereafter, start grilling your steak for 1-2 minute each side, depends on how cooked you want your steak.
Slice red radishes thinly in a round shape, chop parsley into small pieces, cut up your tomotoes into your liking. Toss your sliced red radishes, chop parsley, cut up tomatoes, grilled sweet pepper and onions onto your salad mix.
Mix together lemon juice and olive oil, add some salt and pepper for taste, drizzle onto your salad.
